Structure

CHART comprises of members of staff of SRPC who are committed to this vision; these staff members then constitute the committee that oversees the vision and work of CHART. CHART is a formal committee of the School of Religion, Philosophy and Classics at UKZN, and reports to the Board of SRPC. The Board of SRPC appoints a Director of CHART upon nomination of the CHART committee.

The task of the Director is as follows:

• To convene meetings of CHART
• To coordinate applications of postgraduate students and post-doctoral fellows
• To represent CHART in and report to the School and the University
• To facilitate relationships between CHART and outside organisations
• To oversee and coordinate CHART matters to do with contracts, agreements, and fundraising
• To act as line manager to the researcher/administrator
